Sunday Thoughts: Pope Francis Says Gossip Worse Than COVID?

Pope Francis

Pope Francis said Sunday that gossiping is a "plague worse than COVID" that is seeking to divide the Catholic Church. Francis strayed from his prepared text to double down on his frequent complaint about gossiping within church communities and even within the Vatican bureaucracy. Pope Francis didn't give specifics during his weekly blessing but went on at some length to say the devil is the "biggest gossiper" who is seeking to divide the church with his lies. "Please brothers and sisters, let's try to not gossip," he said. "Gossip is a plague worse than COVID. Worse. Let's make a big effort: No, gossiping!" These series of articles are about Sunday Thoughts and have a few religious aspects to them, but when it

VIDEO: France’s President Macron, Cough Cough, Can’t Breath – Requests a Lighter Mask

Macron Removes Mask

French President Emmanuel Macron appears to struggle to breathe under his COVID19 mask. Some criticized Macron for not taking his own government's mask mandates seriously after he was filmed removing his face-covering to cough while speaking to students. Macron took off his mask after experiencing a mild coughing fit during a speech to a vocational college in Clermont-Ferrand. As the audience giggled nervously, he accepted a glass of water from an assistant who remained at arm's length, explaining, "We maintain distance, but I'm choking." The French leader then demanded a "lighter mask," claiming he "must have absorbed something" from the cloth covering. If so, why request a "lighter mask?" French citizens were quick to deride the president's discomfort, noting the French

Woodward’s Spin Can’t Erase All the Times Biden and Democrats Downplayed The Virus – See Timeline

The Left is once again is salivating like Pavlov's dog. But this time, with an assist from Bob Woodward, they hope to avoid what has become their familiar role of Wile E. Coyote as Trump successfully evades their traps. The media are apoplectic as excerpts from Woodward's latest hit job, surfaced at the most opportune time, 55 days out from an election.  Do you remember Woodward of the Washington Post's Watergate fame? Well, this time he has produced snippets from audiotapes of several hours of interviews conducted with the President. Guess what? Oh, we know you can guess - Bingo, the audio edits dovetail to the exact Democrat talking point for the last three months claiming Trump's downplaying of the grave

The Myopia of the Left

Myopia of the Left

The perspective they have on - well, everything now - begs the question: Are they intentionally misleading folks, or are they really that clueless? There is no third option. If one were to believe the American Left - and unfortunately many people do - one would also have to believe that the ills of America are uniquely our own. If only we were like the rest of the world, all would be fine. Most recently, the moral degenerates at the Democrat Convention blamed Trump for the 170,000 COVID-related (as opposed to COVID-caused?) deaths. The fact that they trot out New York's feckless governor, he whose state has helmed a state with more death than any other, to call Trump a clueless virus

Vaccine Russian Roulette?

Vaccine Russian Roulette

Time - Russia on Tuesday became the first country to officially register a coronavirus vaccine and declare it ready for use, despite international skepticism. President Vladimir Putin said that one of his daughters has already been inoculated. The Russian leader added that one of his two adult daughters had received two shots of the vaccine. "She has taken part in the experiment," Putin said. Putin said that his daughter had a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius (100.4 Fahrenheit) on the day of the first vaccine injection, and then it dropped to just over 37 degrees (98.6 Fahrenheit) on the following day. After the second shot, she again had a slight increase in temperature, but then it was all over. "She's feeling well

Coming Soon, New CDC Recommendations, BUTT SHIELDS and N95 Panties?

Farting in Elevator

More than one of every 10 people with COVID-19 develop diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting, and these symptoms may be a key driver of disease spread, an analysis published by JAMA Network Open says. While just 12 percent of patients infected with the new coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, experience these gastrointestinal symptoms, more than 40 percent of them shed virus - meaning, they're contagious - via feces, the researchers said. Clinicians from the Institute of Infectious Diseases at Beijing Ditan Hospital, Capital Medical University found that some patients had positive real-time fluorescence polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test results for SARS-CoV-2 in the sputum or feces after the pharyngeal swabs became negative. The CDC is unclear on this point - they give the standard answer

The Numbers Are In, We Will Believe Anything

Big Foot Family

Recent polls suggest that COVID fears, despite alternative statistical realities, are alive and well. While the general public is unsurprisingly hesitant to resume attending congregations for religious, musical, or athletic competitions en masse, an amazing number highlighted in one survey indicates that just 59% of Americans would be comfortable even having dinner at a friend’s house. This is down from 67% a month prior. Similar polling found that in the aftermath of the George Floyd fallout that racism was being uncovered in every nook and cranny of American life. Several months into the protests and riots, the percent of Americans who felt race relations were “bad” or “fairly bad” increased from 55% in February of this year to over 70% just

Why Are We So Concerned About Personal Choice Now?

Lady With Food

Do-gooding, selective ignoramuses, are quick to point out where we are failing with COVID, but where is their same concern for human life when it comes to unhealthy food, alcohol, and cigarette consumption? For that matter, where is the concern in deadly flu seasons? For reasonable people, the hysteria surrounding COVID is as confusing as it is frustrating. Take your pick on facts that are constantly ignored or denied by the self-proclaimed "Party of Science." The CDC's continues declining, and its most recent death rate is down to just .4%; in other words, 99.6% of people that contract COVID survive More than 80% of all COVID deaths are among people aged 65 and older More than half of all COVID deaths have come in nursing

Early Mask Adoption and Death Totals Contradict One Another

Fauci No Mask

Even though masks are supposedly the only thing standing between you and killing your neighbors, states with the earliest mask mandates are also the states with the highest death rates. I believe masks are more effective than not at stopping the spread of disease. Let’s get that out of the way. How could they not? Reducing the opportunity of minuscule water droplets to transmit from breathing has to reduce the exposure of other people to said water droplets. Still, I am allowed to be skeptical of the political pressure being applied to force my wearing of them. That’s the first thing. The second is that data doesn’t really support the levels of mask zealotry we are witnessing. Recall that just four months ago

Saving Our Republic – A Letter To All Patriots

save republic

Hello to all American Patriots. Who am I addressing? I believe in my heart that designation has expanded beyond just Trump voters and now includes even those, who may have negative feelings towards President Trump and did not vote for him in 2016, but believe in the constitutional rule of law and founding principles. Never Trumpers, moderate Democrats, and Independents are not Anti-American and many agree with Republican Trump voters and want what is best for all in our country. Our country and its people are in crisis, and unifying around basic values will be ALL our salvation. Those principles being : Uphold Constitutional Governance and the rule of law Limited but effective government  Federalism and separation of powers Protect, defend, and maximize individual rights Equal application
