CHAZ, the Future of American Cities?

Welcome to CHAZ

We have recently posted about the consequences of the mob and of a revolution. Actually, we’ve written about it for years, but we wanted to present sobering comments from yet another reader of the Right Wire Report.

We are now beginning to get a glimpse of the future if it is allowed to continue unabated and with the help of so-called community leaders, two movements that have gained sympathy and support by using a man’s death, and public officials who are radicals that never intended to adhere to their oaths.

In Minneapolis: A sculpture of Christopher Columbus, sculpted by an Italian immigrant who helped build Grand Central Station and his son, given as a gift during the Great Depression as a symbol of the acceptance of Italian immigrants in Minnesota, was torn down last night. The police and officials were given warnings. This was not impromptu – it was performance theater. Officials cleared the way for this to happen, and as a consequence, this over 600lb statue can be seen being pulled down. Video also shows that when Virginia statues of Confederates were torn down, one of the statues fell directly onto the head of one of those pulling it down, crushing it in while exposing his skull: a martyr for their “cause” I guess. Or collateral damage, a term I’ve seen used by those on the left a lot recently (see updates). A recent viral video from CHAZ:

In Seattle:

  • Protesters kick out cops and set up six-block “autonomous zone” as a memorial to George Floyd before taking over Seattle City Hall to demand mayor’s resignation.
  • Around 300 protesters marched inside the lobby at around 9 p.m. Tuesday, carrying Black Lives Matter banners and chanting “Durkan must go!” Durkan is the mayor of Seattle.
  • The group was led by Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant who unlocked the building and welcomed the protesters inside.
  • The crowd stayed around an hour before marching to the autonomous zone.
  • Protesters took over a six-block radius around the East Police Precinct Monday calling it the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone after cops retreated from the area.
  • Calls are mounting for Mayor Jenny Durkan to resign from her role.
  • Sawant blames her for the “violence and brutality” of cops against protesters.
  • Earlier Tuesday a Black Lives Matter group sued Seattle over the “unnecessary violence” carried out by cops against protesters.
  • Seattle Mayor has had portable toilets delivered and sent clean-up crews to assist the “patriots” of CHAZ.

The Antifa hashtag #CapitalHillAutonomousZone (CHAZ) in Seattle has a subreddit set up. They are posting about making homemade chemical weapons, maintaining supply lines, and how to use those armed with guns to push police back. CHAZ has its own warlord: Raz Simone. His crew is self-appointed, heavily armed, and has indicated their intention to police the area, and has engaged in the use of force. The power vacuum has been filled, as it always is – setting up armed checkpoints. He is in control because he has guns. That’s it – borer walls are going up. Seattle is Somalia now.

President Donald Trump has branded the protest society as a group of “ugly Anarchists” and “Domestic Terrorists,” but the city’s mayor says Trump doesn’t get it. It’s a group of people gathering lawfully and exercising their First Amendment right of free speech, said Mayor Jenny Durkan.

The Seattle Police – who ran away from the precinct – say that they are getting reports that armed people within CHAZ are extorting the people living there. While it is tempting to say these radical fools get what they deserve, the fact is that the authorities in Seattle and in Washington State have allowed Antifa to take over a portion of a major American city, and run it according to the law of the street. This is what happens when you let the mob rule. Then the price for some to live in CHAZ:

The city government has not developed a strategic response to the takeover of Capitol Hill. According to one Seattle police officer with knowledge of internal deliberations, the city’s “leadership is in chaos” and “the mayor has made the decision to let a mob of 1,000 people dictate public safety policy for a city of 750,000.” The officer said that Chief Best had dispatched high-ranking police officials to the autonomous zone to establish a line of communication, but the officials were immediately sent away by armed paramilitaries at the barricades. “The tide of public opinion is on the side of the activists, and they’re pushing the envelope as far as they can,” said the officer. “It’s not hyperbolic to say the endgame is anarchy.” Learn more – click here.

Seattle Police Chief Best said violent crimes are occurring within the area of the city taken over by protesters, and officers are unable to respond quickly enough, if at all.

Once your local authorities dismantle the police force, this is your future.

To quote the words Tolkien wrote for Aragorn in The Lord of the Rings:

“A day may come when the courage of men fails when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the age of Men, comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand! Men of the West!”

It seems that a day has indeed come, when the courage of men failed, and we have forsaken our friends and broke all bonds of fellowship. Do you know what comes next? “An hour of wolves and shattered shields …” It is here. Would that it only last an hour.

No, the future of American cities is looking much worse than CHAD if this is allowed to continue. Cities will be blighted in much the same way the likes of Detroit & others became. Destroyed & looted businesses will not rebuild nor will there be any new businesses taking their places. Commercial real estate will crumble in those cities as tenants say “Screw it. I’m outa’ here!” Residential property losses will radiate outward from the epicenters like Chad. Cities crumble due to disappearing tax bases. Those remaining behind will suffer increased tax burdens until they can get out. There’s only… Read more »
